Amazon lost my reviews so you get another free book.

Hi readers,

Story time: A while ago, I received the rights back for my Hearts in Orbit books. With a few edits, I republished them into the new Destiny’s Legacy series. They retained their titles which allowed me to request that the reviews be transferred to the new editions of the books. Everything worked well for Pirates of the Dark Nebula and Captives of the Kratzen, but something glitched on Amazon and all The Blarmling Dilemma reviews disappeared, (57 of them). These past few months I’ve been working with Amazon but they’ve concluded that they can not get those reviews back. Now it’s a hard fact that reviews, really help an author to promote their books. So without those reviews, it will make it harder for me to promote the book.

It’s heartbreaking, but I’m not letting it get me down. If you were one of the readers that reviewed it before, I’m asking you to repost your review here: https://books2read.com/u/47gMNA

I’m also putting The Blarmling Dilemma up for free now through Nov. 29th with hopes of garnering a few reviews. Click here to get your free Kindle copy.

And if you like Science Fiction and Romance, you might enjoy some of these sexy reads:

Many, like The Blarmling Dilemma, are on sale and free to read on Kindle Unlimited. Check them out here: https://books.bookfunnel.com/outofthisworld-nov/cwtnfgdg78

Thanks and happy reading,

Steve

The Blarmling Dilemma.

“They’re not animals. They’re people!”

Rigel Antares has captured wanted criminals throughout the galaxy rim, but he’s never come across anything like Phoebe Callista. The gorgeous blonde sure knows how to play the innocent, and something deep inside wants to believe her, but Rigel has problems of his own—a ship that’s falling apart and an unscrupulous Galactic Marshal looking for any excuse to send him back to the prison planets of the Theiler System.

An intergalactic circus, vicious space pirates, and a planet full of backtechers cross their paths as Phoebe and Rigel fight to save a pair of adorable Blarmlings.

Welcome to Hearts in Orbit, Volume 2: Pirates of the Dark Nebula, the movie. Casting couch ready? Lets go:

Emma Stone

Playing Doctor Luna Callista is the incomparable Emma Stone. The auburn Haired, green eyed actress is a perfect match for my description. And she’s hot.

The brilliant Luna Callista is the sister of Phoebe from the first Hearts in Orbit book, The Blarmling Dilemma, and she’s got a galaxy-changing new technology that the pirates want.

James Marsden

Our Hero, Rik Mazar is played by the dashing James Marsden. An undercover galactic marshal, Rik has been entrenched with the Pirates of the Dark Nebula for three years. He barely remembers what it’s like to be ‘normal.’ When Luna falls into his hands, it’s time to get out.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch plays Luna’s brilliant colleague, Doctor Ian von Alderamin, the inventor of the Tractor Beam, and Starship Cloaking device. Together he and Luna hold the key to the galaxy’s next biggest technological breakthrough.

Carol Kane

Carol Kane plays the mysterious Magda Konicie, a Ferang fortuneteller and mystic. Magda has ‘the sight.’

Peter Dinklage

Reprising his role from The Blarmling Dilemma is Peter Dinklage as Markus Stout. Markus, the diminutive clown from Rotund’s Traveling Galactic Show, takes on a more serious role in this movie as the protector of a group of back-water refugees and programer of photon torpedoes on The Starboard Mist.

Jaden Smith

Jaden smith has been tapped to play Quatrain Tyson. Quatrain, a thirteen-year-old next-generation computer gamer (with loads of attitude) becomes The Starboard Mist’s top gunner.

Penelope Cruz

Last, but certainly not least, our villain, Kristin Devenport played by Penelope Cruz. We also met Kristin in The Blarmling Dilemma as a side character. Here she takes center stage as the pirate you’ll love to hate.

Riding the Storm Out

If you’ve wondered in from P. J. Fiala’s wonderful blog or are starting your tour with me, get ready for a glimpse of the future, as we reveal our current works in progress.

Sing To Me

Today Raine Balkera wants to know what everyone is working on ATM. Details & conundrums, plus five bonus points for including a wee bit of your favorite scene.

You better believe I’m going for those extra points.

My current work in progress is the sequel to The Blarmling Dilemma entitled Pirates of the Dark Nebula. I’m about halfway through writing the story and it’s shaping up nicely.

Here’s the blurb:

It can’t fall into the wrong hands.

Luna Callista holds the key to a galaxy changing new technology. Captured by a ruthless band of deep-space pirates, she’s rescued by a man filled with dark secrets of his own. Who is Rik Mazar?

Galactic protector or rogue pirate?

After three years undercover among the Brotherhood of the Dark Nebula, Rik Mazar isn’t sure what side of the law he’s walking. In a world of murder and betrayal, his life goes on the line every day. But, protecting Luna Callista means putting his heart in as much danger as his hide.

A rusting service droid, a Ferang fortuneteller, and a ship full of back-water refugees are their only allies, as two hearts go into orbit to save a galaxy in peril.

Hearts in Orbit: Volume 2 – Pirates of the Dark Nebula is a science fiction romance set in the far-flung space traveling future, continuing the series’ course across a galaxy filled with love and adventure.

And here’s that snippet:

Narko’s gaze shifted to Rik. “Whadaya want me ta do, boss?”

Rik forced a smirk. “Get the old woman a coat. One of those sub-zero, radiant assault jackets. If the woman’s cold, let’s give her an oven.”

Narko chuckled and nodded his head, then his gaze fell on to Luna. “What about her?”

Only then did Rik let his real emotions show. The smile that crossed his face and the open lust he let show would certainly be misinterpreted by the pirate. “Leave her with me. Maybe I can teach her to be a bit more civil when she asks for something.”

Rik had Luna in his arms the moment the door closed behind Narko. “Is everyone alright? Are you alright?”

He didn’t wait for an answer, diving in for a kiss. The purring rumble in Luna’s throat and the passion she poured into the kiss spoke volumes. Had she missed him as much as he’d missed her?

He wanted her so badly, but still wore the dust and grime of his recent mission. Not like this. He pulled back. “I need a shower.”

“A shower?” Lust-filled joy twinkled in Luna’s eyes.

Excerpt:

Rigel sighed. Without the full rap sheet, he didn’t even know exactly what she’d stolen. It could be anything from a subatomic particle to a Ramuligan Horned Calophant. He’d hoped she’d just hand him the merchandise. Maybe a bluff?

“You know I’ll be searching your ship.”

The woman nodded, but her eyes never left his. “You will find no stolen biological specimens on this ship.” Her gaze never wavered.

The statement, and the honesty behind her words, floored him. Rigel wanted to believe her. Her sincerity and defeated attitude made him feel like a pirate. Deep in his soul, something knotted. Should I let her go?

Realization of what he’d been tempted to do hit him like a gut-punch and new resolve flowed through him. Oh yes, this woman was dangerous. With just one look in those incredible emerald eyes, he’d almost melted.

Phoebe Callista was possibly the most dangerous criminal he’d ever faced.

My next big thing(s)

Our regular Thursday Threads blog is on hiatus this week, so I’m taking this opportunity to look to the future.

Space Battle Fleet in Action

Soul Mate Publishing was so thrilled with the early sales of The Blarmling Dilemma that they offered me a contract for the second book in the Hearts in Orbit series sight unseen. They encouraged me to put everything else on the back burner and get them the next book ASAP. So, that’s what I’m doing.

Volume 2 will be called Pirates of the Dark Nebula, and is tentatively scheduled for early June release. I’m about one fifth of the way through the first draft, so there’s lots to do, but I can tell you that this book will feature Phoebe’s sister Luna, and an under cover galactic marshal named Rik Mazer. I haven’t found an inspiration for Luna yet, but here’s what I’ve found for Rik:

young, attractive man close upHe’s a little scruffier than my usual, clean-cut heroes, but he’s been really fun to write.

Of course the Blarmlings will be back. this time I’m giving Kertl the spotlight. Blarmlings

* * *

Also on tap, is a super secret project I’m working on with a couple of other romance writers. I can’t reveal anything about it, but stay tuned here for a fun announcement soon.
